Reaction to Modern Significance of the Caesar

Julius Caesar represents betrayal. In the play Caesar is betrayed by all of his friends. He thinks that they are only trying to help him when in fact they only want to hurt him. Today many people betray their friends. They trust and confide in people only to get hurt. Caesar trusted in Brutus to be his friend. When in fact Brutus wanted to hurt and kill Caesar. Brutus turned his back at Caesar when he was dying and stabbed him his final stab. Brutus was not a friend like Caesar had hoped for, instead Brutus was only trying to hurt and kill him.

The play of Julius Caesar represents how everyone tries to do what is right for their country and for them. When the World Trade Center was bombed it was because it's what was thought to be the right thing. Instead of caring about other's lives the bomber decided that it was his job to stop World Trade and to stop technology. The death of Caesar is so much like the death of any president. The murder killed the president because they believed that death was the only way. When Brutus killed Caesar he was following the same path of destruction showing that death was the only way to make Rome free and to make things right.

The play shows us that no good comes from evil. No matter how much that we want to make things better, death and mass distruction cannot solve anything. The play showes us that nothing is worth a human life, and even if you think that your ideas or ways are better than someone elses, it does not mean that their ways are wrong, just because they are different. Brutus and Caesar were both fighting for the same cause and that was to save Rome. When Brutus killed Caesar, he actually damaged Rome, he did not save it.
